Circle Crop for Profile Pictures & Avatars (Transparent PNG)

Crop any photo into a perfect transparent circle for avatars, Zoom, Slack, and Discord. Free, in-browser, and exports a PNG with real transparency — no white square behind it.

Most "circle crop" tools online lie — they draw a circle mask over a JPG and export a square with a white background. When you upload that to Slack or Zoom, the white square shows up around your face. Our circle crop exports a PNG with real alpha transparency, so it drops cleanly onto any background.

How to circle-crop a photo

  1. Open the crop tool with the circle preset.
  2. Drag the circle over the subject; use the handles to resize.
  3. Click Apply crop — the working image is now the cropped circle.
  4. Export as PNG to keep transparency (JPG will fill the corners with a color).

Best dimensions for common platforms

  • Zoom: 400×400 minimum, 1024×1024 for retina clarity.
  • Slack: 512×512 recommended.
  • Discord: 128×128 is the render size, but upload at 512×512.
  • LinkedIn: 400×400, but LinkedIn re-crops — center your face.
